NM Chapter Board President Shad James Appointed to National Position with AGC of America

Shad James, president of the board of AGC New Mexico and executive vice president of Jaynes Corporation, has been appointed as the New Mexico delegate to AGC of America’s Board of Directors.  

“Shad’s impressive contributions and commitment to our AGC chapter have resulted in his appointment to this prestigious position with AGC of America,” said Vicki Mora, CEO of AGC New Mexico.  She continued, “His participation on this national board will bring needed attention to our state’s successes and challenges in commercial construction.”

“I am honored to represent the AGC New Mexico and our state, and I look forward to working on the national level to improve our industry,” said Mr. James.

A 19-year veteran of the construction profession, Mr. James has been with Jaynes for over 16 years, working his way up in project management and estimating.  In addition to serving as AGC’s board president this year, he also heads the Board of the New Mexico Building Education Congress (NMBEC), AGC’s education foundation which is responsible for the creation, oversight and fundraising for ACE Leadership High School.  Mr. James has been instrumental in the development and success of this cutting-edge charter school.  He earned his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Bradley University and his Executive MBA from UNM.
