Governor Signs Capital Outlay Bill

On October 11, 2011, Governor Susana Martinez signed the capital outlay bill (Senate Bill 10) into law which includes $86.5 million in public works projects for the state of New Mexico.  With the support of business and labor groups, the governor pushed for infrastructure projects totaling $213 million.  However the Senate did not pass that proposal during the special legislative session that ended earlier this month, stating some of those projects will be revisited in the Legislative Session in January 2012.
