City of ABQ Adopts 2009 Energy Codes

With job creation as our top priority in all government affairs efforts, AGC New Mexico is pleased to announce the City of Albuquerque will adopt the 2009  International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), after the state's adoption last summer.  A well-researched and broadly supported path to greater efficiency and energy savings, the 2009 IECC will still keep our state and largest city competitive with the region, as well as provide the consistency and predictability to encourage greater investment in our community.

AGC always advocates for consistent and competitive codes that foster economic development and opportuntiy, and we were proud to participate in the broad coalition that made this possible.  AGC sent the attached letters to Mayor Berry and Council President Harris on behalf of our Members which urged adoption of the 2009 IECC.
