AGC NEW MEXICO ANNOUNCES 2015 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

AGC 2015 President Wayne Rutherford, of Wayne Rutherford General Contractor, announces new Board of Directors for 2015.

As incoming AGC NM President I am pleased to have this opportunity to continue to be of service to the commercial construction industry and, along with my fellow board members and the AGC NM staff, to help further AGC NM’s goals.

We look forward to addressing many matters affecting our businesses and employees, all with an eye toward providing a better “built environment” for the citizens of our State.

Our Association’s goals include remaining active in workforce development, generating project financing through private-public partnerships; continuous improvements in workplace safety, and other initiatives benefiting AGC members and our industry.

The Board and Staff of AGC NM have many decades of experience in guiding our organization; I am continuously impressed with their willingness to tackle thorny issues, whether the issue affects their individual business operations, our industry as a whole, our workforce, helping public and private owners obtain the best possible project delivery at a fair price, or addressing Federal, State, or local regulatory challenges.

In addition to having a solid group of incoming board members and officers, AGC NM is very fortunate to have a number of returning board members, including four former AGC-NM presidents; collectively they bring a clear vision of what can be accomplished by working with other stakeholders, development of strategic alliances, and, importantly, they understand and draw upon the rich history of our State and our Association.

We look forward to furthering our Association’s goals in conjunction with the State of New Mexico’s Executive branch along with our realigned Legislature, both during the upcoming 60 day session and the years to come.”
