Leadership – Networking – Influence – Savings - Success

Members of AGC-NM Building Branch receive countless benefits.  We offer you opportunities to network, take a leadership role in the construction profession, save money and increase your bottom line, and access new contracts or jobs.  Here’s how:

  • Jobs.  Our top priority is job creation for our members.  As the leading organization for the commercial construction profession, AGC-NM Building Branch works aggressively with community leaders to grow economic development opportunities for our members.
  • Savings.  Our key partnerships offer strong savings programs that positively affect your bottom line and help your company improve efficiencies.  The savings you have access to can more than cover the cost of your membership.  AGC’s public works retirement program reduces contractor costs on public works projects.  And our Worker’s Comp Trust self-insurance fund is building equity for participants.
  • Networking.  By joining AGC you will have access to one of our greatest resources – other members.  Representing 60-70% of all commercial and industrial construction in our state, our members have literally built New Mexico.  We provide many networking and marketing opportunities for our members, and can serve as a liaison with architects, engineers, public owners and construction trade organizations.  We also provide collective bargaining for interested members.
  • Advocacy. We lead the way in public policy, advocating on our members’ behalf on the state and federal level.  We provide targeted support to candidates and ballot issues that benefit construction.  We also promote the crucial role our members play in our community’s prosperity.
  • Information.  We provide vital information on industry issues and trends through our website, monthly e-newsletter At-A-Glance and quarterly magazine The Builder.  We also provide contract documents by/for contractors and access to AGC’s publications and library of construction training videos.
  • Workforce Development.  Our acclaimed workforce development program is leading the way in education and safety.   With the best training in the industry, our diverse program includes everything from apprenticeship to classroom and distance learning opportunities.  AGC-NM Building Branch is also proud to be a National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) accredited training sponsor.  Our extensive resources can help your firm attract and retain qualified employees.
  • Innovation.  In a groundbreaking public-private partnership, AGC-NM Building Branch has founded ACE Leadership – a charter high school for architecture, construction and engineering.  Through this innovative school we will educate and train the next generation of leaders in our profession.
