2008 AGC Best Buildings Banquet Hits All-Time High!

Over 530 AGC members and guests (largest attendance ever) attended the 18th New Mexico Building Branch AGC Best Buildings Awards Banquet on March 7 at Sandia Resort and Casino. Co-sponsor was Southwest Contractor, a McGraw-Hill publication headquartered in Phoenix.  

Owners, general contractors, specialty contractors, and design professionals were recognized for 11 award-winning projects. In addition to winning a New Mexico AGC Best Buildings award, the St. James Episcopal Church Remodeling and Expansion,  Taos, is also a winner in the AGC Build America contest and will be recognized on March 13 at the Aon Build America Awards Dinner in Las Vegas, NV. Wayne Rutherford will accept the award on behalf of his company, Wayne Rutherford General Contractor, Inc.

The theme of the evening on March 7 was the James Bond thriller “Casino Royale”

Descriptions of the award-winning projects will be featured in a special supplement to the April 2008 issue of Southwest Contractor.
