Mission Statement

AGC of America Mission Statement: The Associated General Contractors of America, the voice of the construction industry, is an organization of qualified construction contractors and industry related companies dedicated to skill, integrity and responsibility. Operating in partnership with its Chapters, the Association provides a full range of services satisfying the needs and concerns of its members, thereby improving the quality of construction and protecting the public interest.

NM Building Branch Mission: We provide a forum through which the members, with staff, can (1) collectively solve problems which they all face, and (2) develop programs designed to improve the well-being of the construction industry, the communities in which they live, and the profitability of their own businesses. In so doing, the ethical standards embodied in the phrase, “Skill, Integrity, and Responsibility” are promoted and followed.

NMBB Strategic Objectives:
PUBLIC POLICY: We preserve and enhance AGC’s reputation in the area of public policy by (1.) monitoring governmental and legislative activities to identify industry-related issues of state significance; (2.) coordinating input from members and staff; and (3.) providing legislative policy recommendations to the AGC Officers and Board; and (4.) undertaking implementation activities including funding and directing a legislative network.

SAFETY EXCELLENCE: We develop maintain and deliver programs which encourage and promote education on safe work practices and safety awareness on the job. We promote member awareness of new and changing regulations.

WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS: We preserve and enhance AGC’s reputation as the leader in workforce solutions by promoting construction career opportunities that will attract, motivate, and develop skilled workers.
